War and Slavery in Revolutionary Massachusetts, 1775-1783. John Hannigan was the 2014 Scholar in the Park funded by the Friends of Minute Man National Park. He wrote a series of research papers on men of color who participated in the American Revolution. Mr Hannigan, the Rose and Irving Crown Fellow at the History Department of Brandeis University, is currently working on a PhD. His dissertation focuses on the experiences of African men in Massachusetts who fought in the American Revolution.
